In the Atelier world, the server is a place for you to compile and debug. The source of truth lives on the client side, so we recommend using source control tools to help the team get on the same page. I hope that answers your question!
When you delete a class file in the Atelier Explorer view, the resource will only be removed from your local file system. If you rename a file locally and sync it, the new file will be saved to your server (Refactoring is still under development). But if you want to delete a resource from the server, you need to manually delete it in the Server Explorer view. Let me know if you have any questions.
We weren't able to reproduce it. We'd suggest you create a WRC ticket so you can have someone look into this further for you. You might also want to try a clean install of 255 to see if it works.
We tested on both Windows and Mac, but couldn't reproduce. Which version of Eclipse are you using? We suggest you upgrade to Neon and try to update Atelier again.
David, please check whether the Eclipse Mars repository is in the list of your active update sites. If not, please add it and install Atelier again. Let me know if it works.
Select Atelier IDE feature and continue wizard until restart
After restart switch to Atelier perspective and perform basic functionality check
If you see some keybinding conflicts warning in the error log, you can resolve that within the IDE user preferences. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for trying Atelier out! The current version of Atelier supports the workflow of a typical Caché developer, so some of the Ensemble features are not implemented yet. The good news is the sooner we deliver it to the users' hands (like you!), the better we can understand how to improve Atelier. We've heard your request of the "Production View" and Diagram Switch loud and clear, and we will definitely incorporate these in our plan.
I've logged the compilation issue you encountered and will update you once I hear back from the team.

You're right, Jon. It's a reported issue - Atelier templates do not support auto-insert at the moment. The fix is targeted for Release 1.1.

This won't happen for the released version and we will make sure to advise the existing users to upgrade the kit. Thanks John!

This is a Mac configuration problem. The longer-lasting solution is to disable the OS X password provider, and you can do this by:
